By downloading, installing, or using the PurePGN application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
PurePGN is a 100% offline chess library management tool designed to allow users to view, manage, and analyze chess games using the Portable Game Notation (PGN) format. The App operates locally on your device and does not require an internet connection, account registration, or cloud syncing.
a. Data Storage and Backup:
All data, including but not limited to chess games, metadata, folders, and move variations, are stored
exclusively on your local device. You are solely responsible for backing up your data. We
provide built-in PGN export tools to facilitate this, but we cannot be held liable for any data loss,
corruption, or device failure.
b. Acceptable Use:
You agree to use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You are entirely
responsible for the content (e.g., PGN files) you import into the App.
Our data practices are governed by our Privacy Policy. Because the App is fully offline, we do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data or usage metrics.
The App, including its original code, design, text, graphics, and interfaces, is owned by the developers of PurePGN. The App may utilize third-party open-source libraries (e.g., Flutter, sqflite, chess_vectors_flutter) which are governed by their respective licenses. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the proprietary components of the App unless explicitly permitted by law or an open-source license.
The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, completely secure, or that any defects will be corrected. Your use of the App is at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developers of PurePGN shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Terms within the App or its associated repository. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
