Because PurePGN is designed to be a 100% offline and secure chess library manager, our privacy policy is simple: we do not collect, store, or share your personal information.
No Personal Data Collection
PurePGN does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information (such as your
name, email address, or phone number) to use the app.
No Cloud Syncing or Tracking
The application operates entirely offline. All data you create, import, or manage within PurePGN—including
chess games, folders, move variations, and preferences—is stored locally on your device. We do not transmit
your data to our servers, nor do we use any cloud syncing services or tracking software.
No Analytics or Advertisements
We do not use third-party analytics tools to track your usage behavior, and we do not serve advertisements.
Your experience is completely private and distraction-free.
Because all your chess games and library data (e.g., your SQLite database and PGN
files) reside securely on your device, you are solely responsible for its security and backup. We provide
bulk .pgn export and import functionality to help you manage and back up your data locally or
to your preferred storage solution. We have no access to this data.
To function correctly, PurePGN may request the following device permissions:
.pgn files
from your device and export your library to .pgn backups using native file pickers.These permissions are used solely for local file operations initiated by you.
PurePGN does not integrate with third-party data collection services, advertising networks, or external APIs that collect your data. Any packages or libraries used to build the app operate entirely locally on your device.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy and, if necessary, providing a notice within the app.
